About the Role
We are seeking a Director-level professional to join our Unified Global Markets team based in Singapore. This role focuses on equity advisory sales, engaging both internal client advisors and external wealth management clients across the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, delivering timely market insights, compelling investment ideas, and strategic guidance on global equity markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-conviction equity investment ideas and actionable market insights consistent with CIO perspectives and current market conditions.
- Serve as a reliable advisor to Client Advisors and Wealth Management clients identifying and leveraging opportunities in global equity markets.
- Promote equity investment themes, stock recommendations, trading ideas, and tactical market opportunities across key regions including the US, Hong Kong/China, Japan, Europe, and others.
- Create engaging investment narratives based on macroeconomic trends, earnings reports, sector shifts, and company-specific events.
- Initiate client interactions through meetings, calls, presentations, market updates, and investment forums to effectively communicate investment recommendations.
- Keep abreast of market news, earnings releases, corporate actions, and geopolitical developments and evaluate their impact on portfolios and strategies.
- Collaborate with CIO, Research, Trading, Structured Solutions, and Sales teams to deliver comprehensive investment solutions optimizing client outcomes.
- Produce high-quality investment commentary, equity publications, thematic presentations, and marketing collateral tailored to different client segments.
- Maintain solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks, product governance, and market-specific rules across jurisdictions.
Team Environment
You will be part of the Unified Global Markets Equity & Structured Products Distribution team in Singapore, working in a demanding and dynamic setting alongside a highly skilled and motivated group. The team provides advisory services on equities, structured products, and customized complex solutions to High Net Worth and Global Family Institutional Wealth clients throughout APAC.
Applicant Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; CFA designation or progress toward CFA is strongly preferred.
- Between 5 and 12 years of relevant experience in areas such as Equity Advisory Sales, Equity Research, Portfolio Management, Wealth Management Investment Advisory, or Institutional Equity Sales.
- Deep enthusiasm for equity investing with thorough knowledge of global equity markets, sector dynamics, investment themes, and valuation techniques.
- Demonstrated skill in developing and articulating distinctive equity investment ideas and converting market intelligence into practical client guidance.
- Strong grasp of macroeconomic trends globally and their influence on equity markets and investment positioning.
- Proven experience engaging both internal teams and external clients.
- Commercial acumen with a history of driving client engagement, investment activity, and business expansion.
- Outstanding presentation, communication, and persuasion capabilities, able to distill complex market information for varied audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to establish trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional partners.
- Self-driven, proactive, results-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-changing market environment.
- A collaborative team player who can effectively work across multiple functions within the bank.
- A curiosity about leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance workflows, ensuring judicious and compliant use aligned with organizational policies and risk frameworks.
