Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, personal care (e.g., grooming, hygiene), and transportation assistance.
- Encourage and assist participation in social and community engagements like shopping and events.
- Support clients in achieving personal goals and acknowledge their progress.
- Promote client choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and client progress.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass required background checks and complete all mandatory training.
- Hold a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, and provide proof of insurance.
- Demonstrate the ability to work safely and respectfully within clients’ homes and communities.
- Exhibit compassion, dependability, and commitment to positively impacting lives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and/or autism.
- Familiarity with implementing Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS).
- Knowledge of behavior support strategies such as redirection, visual prompting, and environmental modifications.
