Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual eager to acquire and grow modern digital skills in quantity surveying, data management, and analysis specifically for MEP/HVAC/ACMV systems, aligning with global sustainability and green initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Quantity Surveying (QS) Manager.
- Engage actively in the tendering process with the goal of successfully securing projects.
- Conduct quantity surveying by gathering data for managing and analyzing cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and procurement activities.
- Develop detailed and strategic cost estimates for tenders and projects, considering project requirements, prevailing market prices, and labor costs. Transform the collected data into meaningful insights and deliverables to support tender submission success.
- Collaborate with the Contract Manager to prepare and review contract documentation, tender documents, and bills of quantities in compliance with Building and Construction Authority (BCA) guidelines and Singapore’s regulatory standards.
- Coordinate procurement activities with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to ensure cost effectiveness and quality in acquiring materials, equipment, and services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure in Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in MEP, HVAC, or ACMV systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with data analysis principles is an advantage.
- Proficiency or familiarity with modern digital tools such as modeling quantity takeoff software, robotic process automation (RPA), advanced Excel or Google Sheets, Microsoft applications, and leveraging AI/ML technologies is favorable.
- Strong command of English and openness to learning within a dynamic industry environment.
