Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Specialist to join our IT Enterprise Business System team. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and maintaining DevOps tools, practices, and processes. The successful candidate will streamline collaboration between development and operations, enhancing software reliability, efficiency, and deployment speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and apply DevOps methodologies including Continuous Integration, Deployment, and Monitoring to optimize software release performance.
- Collaborate with development and operations to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt primarily for Microsoft Azure environments.
- Oversee version control systems, especially Git, to maintain code integrity and promote efficient teamwork.
- Create and maintain Python automation scripts to handle routine system tasks and boost operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic and technical advice to business units to resolve issues and identify new opportunities.
- Develop, test, and support DevOps pipelines using standard ETL tools and implement data integration from diverse sources.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for fast and dependable software delivery.
- Configure monitoring and logging to ensure system health and application performance.
- Coach development teams on version control best practices to ensure maintainable and collaborative codebases.
- Communicate effectively with clients to capture requirements and align solutions with project objectives.
- Offer on-call support for production environments including pipeline failures and perform hardware/software upgrade assessments, testing, and fixes.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to software, computing infrastructure, storage, and networking.
- Create and conduct training sessions, along with relevant documentation and user guides for team members.
- Stay current with advancements and trends in data analytics and DevOps technologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders to drive project success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ IT experience.
- At least 3 years working as a DevOps Engineer or Consultant.
- Minimum 2 years experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- At least 2 years hands-on with Terraform and/or Terragrunt for infrastructure automation.
- 2+ years practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Git-based version control systems (GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub), including branch and merge strategy management.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated, positive mindset and enthusiastic work ethic.
- Proficient scripting skills in Python.
- Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and within teams.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Experience scripting with Groovy and Bash.
- Familiarity with Windows Azure, Azure Resources, and Azure Security.
- Understanding and application of software process and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with SOAP/REST APIs and web services.
- Experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Relevant certifications in Jenkins, Azure, GitLab, or related areas.
Additional Information
The selected candidate must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and pass assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR compliance.

Salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
