Job description

Job Overview

We seek a seasoned IT professional specializing in Kubernetes to oversee, support, and enhance containerized applications and their infrastructure. The candidate should be proficient in deploying, scaling, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in both on-premises and public cloud settings. A solid understanding of cloud and bare-metal infrastructure is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the performance and uptime of Kubernetes clusters and containerized apps.
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and infrastructure updates.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to Kubernetes, Docker, networking, storage, and container orchestration.
  • Partner with development and infrastructure teams to architect scalable and reliable systems.
  • Enforce security best practices within Kubernetes environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Conduct routine audits, system upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering Kubernetes configurations, procedures, and operational workflows.
  • Stay informed on emerging Kubernetes features, technologies, and best practices to improve environments.
  • Support containerized workloads on both cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or relevant experience equivalency.
  • Proven hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Docker and container technologies.
  • At least three years of Microsoft Azure experience, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Experience managing Kubernetes in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Strong grasp of infrastructure, networking, storage systems, and Linux environments.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience using infrastructure-as-code and configuration tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
  • Effective technical communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work efficiently in fast-paced tech settings.

Additional Credentials (Preferred)

  • CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
