DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, cloud operations, and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and managing production environments with a proactive ownership approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and automate infrastructure by implementing Infrastructure-as-Code principles to ensure scalable and reliable environments.
• Maintain and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab to support efficient software delivery.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support cloud-native applications.
• Take full responsibility for production systems employing a "you build it, you run it" philosophy, ensuring uptime and compliance with stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Handle real-time monitoring, system observability, and respond promptly to incidents to maintain system stability.
• Serve as a critical technical liaison among development teams, validation engineers, and customers to provide seamless operational support.
• Participate in 24/7 onsite shift rotations to offer around-the-clock technical support, and actively engage in high-impact Change Advisory Board (CAB) assessments and approvals.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, acceptance criteria for customers, and conduct operational readiness evaluations aimed at ongoing process enhancements.
• Drive team development by sharing knowledge, conducting training sessions, and fostering continuous improvement of processes.

Candidate Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
• Proficient in designing and automating infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab for managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of deploying and managing Kubernetes environments on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong ownership mindset with experience in system reliability and incident management aligned with SLA obligations.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a bridge between multiple teams including development and validation.
• Availability and willingness to work in 24/7 onsite shifts providing operational support.
• Excellent documentation skills and commitment to continuous process improvements.
