DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Creuto is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to design, implement, and continuously enhance the infrastructure, deployment workflows, and operational procedures supporting Creuto's products at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS or GCP using Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI to enable efficient, dependable, and automated software deployments.
• Administer containerized applications via Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster setup and security enhancements.
• Deploy and oversee monitoring and observability systems using solutions like Datadog, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
• Manage secrets, IAM policies, and security measures across multiple environments.
• Oversee database infrastructure tasks including provisioning, backups, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
• Optimize cloud expenditures through appropriate resource sizing and reserved capacity planning.
• Address production incidents promptly, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering with hands-on work in AWS or GCP production systems.
• Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code approaches to eliminate risky manual configuration steps.
• Advanced Linux knowledge and scripting skills to automate routine operational duties effectively.
• A proactive mindset towards system reliability, designing solutions anticipating failure rather than merely reacting.
• Comfortable with on-call duties and managing production emergencies calmly and efficiently.

Additional Advantageous Skills

• Experience working with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Security expertise or certifications involving static and dynamic application security testing and penetration testing.
