Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly adaptable DevOps Engineer to contribute to the creation and expansion of innovative tools that connect sophisticated hardware and software systems. This position involves designing and sustaining continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure that support a wide array of programming languages and platforms for devices with tangible, impactful applications.
You will operate in both on-premises and cloud settings, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), constructing systems capable of managing traditional software deployments as well as container-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate development across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for diverse code repositories.
- Oversee hybrid infrastructure combining cloud and on-site components.
- Automate the provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes at scale.
- Implement security best practices throughout all stages of development and deployment.
- Work closely with software developers to optimize build and deployment workflows.
Requirements
- Proficient in AWS services and architecture.
- Programming capabilities in C++, Python, or comparable languages.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline construction and configuration.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or background in hardware development or high-performance computing (HPC) workflows.
- Knowledge or exposure to DevSecOps practices and compliance with information security standards such as SOC 2 or ISO 27000 series.
