Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

About the Role

An expanding SaaS company located in Dublin City Centre is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join their growing platform team. This hybrid position requires 2 days onsite and offers the opportunity to take on increased responsibility for infrastructure, automation, and ensuring platform reliability in a highly regulated, rapidly scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support and continuous development of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Handle container workloads in Kubernetes environments, specifically using EKS.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code, with an emphasis on Terraform.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
• Develop automation scripts primarily with Python and Bash.
• Conduct monitoring and troubleshoot production system issues, assisting with incident management.
• Apply security best practice measures and oversee cloud governance protocols.
• Enhance infrastructure modularity and promote reusability to support scalability.

Candidate Profile

• At least three years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services including EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, and Lambda.
• Operational experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production settings.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform.
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with careful attention to operational detail.
• A collaborative team player comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
• Experience within regulated sectors or fast-growing SaaS firms is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data platform technologies like Snowflake and Airflow is beneficial but not mandatory.
