Overview
An international property developer with an established reputation globally is growing its footprint in Australia and is actively seeking a seasoned Development Manager to spearhead its high-rise residential projects within Sydney.
The organisation has a proven history in delivering large-scale residential developments internationally and is now emphasising expanding its NSW portfolio by acquiring and managing prominent high-rise opportunities.
Role Summary
In this senior function, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with investment, strategy, and construction departments, you will be responsible for identifying new projects, securing approvals, and guiding developments from inception to handover.
Responsibilities
- Pinpoint and evaluate development prospects for high-rise residential buildings across Sydney.
- Collaborate with investment and strategy teams to vet and obtain new projects.
- Oversee developments through the planning, approval, and development stages.
- Manage project strategies, timelines, budgets, and relationships with consultants and key stakeholders.
- Transition projects effectively to construction and delivery teams upon development completion.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience managing developments within the Sydney construction sector.
- Proven success in overseeing high-rise residential or apartment projects.
- Adept in initial development stages, including opportunity assessment and acquisition.
- Broad knowledge of NSW planning regulations, approvals, and development workflows.
- Strong commercial insight with excellent stakeholder engagement and market expertise in Sydney.
