Detailer (Flat Rate)

Overview

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is currently seeking dedicated Detail Specialists to join their team in Albany, Georgia. This role is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize exceptional customer service.

Positions Available

• Detail Specialist 1 – Candidates with some prior experience
• Detail Specialist 2 – Candidates with two or more years of experience

Role Responsibilities

The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of vehicles and facilities. You will be expected to uphold high customer satisfaction by delivering top-notch service and responding quickly and courteously to customer requests or concerns. Tasks include washing vehicle exteriors using various cleaning agents, waxing and buffing vehicles, vacuuming interiors, cleaning upholstery, using air compressors to dry surfaces, and applying protective chemicals against stains and spots. Additional duties may include using dyes, paints, and waxes on vehicle interiors, cleaning engines or engine compartments, and any other tasks assigned by management based on operational needs.

Working Conditions

• This is a physically demanding role requiring frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and entering/exiting different vehicles throughout the workday.
• Work may be performed outdoors, subjected to varying weather conditions.
• Regular handling and movement of multiple vehicles during shifts.
• Use of OSHA-compliant cleaners and waxes such as window cleaner, tar remover, and tire shine.
• Frequent use and flexing of hands, wrists, fingers, and spine.
• Occasional lifting or carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Clear communication skills and ability to receive detailed instructions orally.
• Visual and auditory acuity required to identify small imperfections and perform quality inspections on own and team's work.
• Strong sense of urgency and respect for customers' time.
• Adherence to company uniform and grooming standards is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in vehicle detailing.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Quick learner comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to carefully follow and understand instructions.
• Respectful and meticulous in handling customers’ personal vehicles.
• Reliability in punctuality and consistent focus during work hours.
• Competence in driving automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, or as needed to meet production demands.
• Commitment to remain on task and maintain attendance.

Additional Information

Teph Seal operates as a drug-free workplace. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of drug and background screenings.

Compensation for this position is structured on a piecework basis.
