Our Distribution Centre in Rolleston, Canterbury, acts as the backbone supplying stores nationwide. We are currently expanding our racking team to handle increased demand during our peak period through mid January 2027.

Role Overview

As a Despatch Team Member, you will engage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your accuracy and speed are key. This role involves preparing outgoing stock to ensure timely delivery to our stores across New Zealand, requiring adaptability and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Stack and prepare pallets containing products weighing between 1kg to 30kg.
• Sort inventory items according to barcode and assigned store destination.
• Pick items efficiently from fast-moving conveyor belts.
• Utilize RF scanners for precise inventory tracking and management.
• Perform prime moving and secure pallet wrapping.
• Label, close, and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, box cutters, and strapping machines safely and effectively.
• Carry out bulk picking and consolidate stock as needed.
• Adapt and respond promptly to last-minute operational changes, offering assistance wherever required.

Working Conditions

This fixed term position runs until mid January 2027, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The hourly rate is $30.28. Note that extended leave requests, especially around Christmas and New Year periods, are unlikely to be approved due to high workload, and the role does not require working on public holidays.

Candidate Requirements

• Physically capable of standing and moving throughout the working day.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus when working independently.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
• Previous experience in warehouse or distribution center operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
