Working closely with Buying & Merchandising (B&M) teams, your focus will be to build exciting new ranges that resonate with our target customers.
Responsibilities
- Research and define global trends in women's accessories by utilizing forecasting tools, data analysis, and customer insights.
- Lead seasonal colour strategy and promote innovation in materials, trims, hardware, and product construction.
- Manage the full product life cycle for bags, footwear, and accessories — from initial concept through to final approval.
- Create commercially balanced, customer-centric collections aligned with brand identity and category strategies.
- Lead, guide, and mentor a design team, upholding high standards in quality, timeliness, and work methods.
- Collaborate effectively with Buying, Merchandising, Technical, Sourcing, suppliers, and Brand teams to ensure consistent, high-quality product delivery.
Cross-functional Engagement
You will work closely with Primark's Buying and Merchandising teams and other design groups across all product sectors to maintain design alignment and a shared vision. Representing your categories, you will present collections at leadership meetings and participate in cross-functional forums to support alignment and decisions.
Benefits
- Healthcare coverage, pension plans, and eligibility for bonuses.
- 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
- Tax Saver Tickets, access to a fitness center, and subsidized cafeteria facilities.
Desired Profile
- At least 7 years' experience in accessories design, including proven leadership or team management roles.
- Deep expertise in accessories, footwear, or bags with strong knowledge of materials, construction, and product development.
- Proven ability to create commercially successful, high-volume product ranges by translating seasonal trends into appealing collections.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring capabilities that inspire and develop design teams.
- Effective stakeholder and supplier management skills with strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Highly organized, proactive, and accountable approach, thriving in dynamic environments while managing multiple priorities with integrity.
