Job Overview
WSP is seeking an experienced Design Manager specialized in Interior Design to lead and oversee the creation of high-quality interior environments across sectors including hospitality, residential, retail, and commercial projects. The role offers a chance to engage with global-scale projects and collaborate with top professionals dedicated to innovative design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage interior design consultants and coordinate specialized design packages.
- Critically evaluate design concepts, select materials, and manage furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) packages along with detailed design documents.
- Ensure all interior design solutions adhere to the project's vision, brand identity, and functional performance standards.
- Facilitate smooth interface coordination between interior design and other disciplines such as architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), and other specialist teams.
- Actively participate in design review meetings, client presentations, and stakeholder workshops to maintain alignment and project quality.
- Support the design development stage thoroughly throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of design delivery, project scheduling, and performance of consultants involved.
- Assist in evaluating prototype mock-ups and securing necessary design approvals when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in interior design, with a proven portfolio covering hospitality, retail, commercial, and residential interior environments.
- Demonstrate strong skills in design review processes and effective stakeholder engagement and management.
