Role Overview

The Design Engineer will play a vital role in converting intricate 3D models prepared by senior design staff into accurate, manufacturable 2D drawings. This position also includes the creation of key supplementary documentation such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and facility layout plans. Ownership of designing smaller ultrasonic cleaning machines, from concept through production, will be entrusted to the engineer.

Key Duties

• Transform 3D assemblies and parts into detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring precise tolerances, weld symbols, and bills of materials are included.
• Create and update ancillary documentation like facility layout drawings and P&IDs utilizing AutoCAD.
• Independently oversee the design lifecycle of smaller standard ultrasonic cleaning machines including 3D modeling, 2D detailing, and production release.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to resolve any shop floor questions regarding drawings and implement updates from practical feedback.

Candidate Profile

• 0 to 3 years of mechanical design or drafting experience, preferably in sheet metal work, industrial manufacturing, or capital equipment design.
• Advanced skills in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D detailing, and proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D layout drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail to avoid missing dimensions or inaccurate tolerances that could disrupt production.
• Possession of a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma.

Compensation and Location

• Annual salary range between ₹250,000 to ₹450,000, dependent on experience and software proficiency.
• Position is based onsite at Vasai, Maharashtra.
• Full-time employment.
