Design Engineer

Role Overview

As a Design Engineer at Meru Engineers, you will be responsible for creating and updating engineering drawings that meet specific project needs. Your work will involve developing design concepts for components and assemblies, preparing manufacturing drawings, and ensuring compliance with company and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update engineering drawings according to project and production requirements.
• Create detailed design documents including precise dimensions, tolerances, material details, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as needed.
• Collaborate with the production team to verify that designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Evaluate current designs and recommend improvements aimed at enhancing quality, reducing costs, and simplifying manufacturing processes.
• Support production and quality assurance teams by addressing and resolving design concerns.
• Implement design modifications based on customer feedback and production inputs.
• Ensure all drawings and designs adhere to company standards and established engineering principles.
• Meet deadlines for assigned design projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and capable of using SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent design software.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, manufacturing techniques, and machining/fabrication processes.
• Understanding of material properties, tolerances, fits, and fundamental GD&T.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings.

Additional Information

The position is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The offered monthly salary ranges from INR 15,000 to INR 25,000.
