Job Overview

Meru Engineers is seeking a proficient Welder cum Drill Operator to become a part of their production team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will contribute to the welding, drilling, fabrication, and assembly of water pumps and their components, ensuring top-quality manufacturing output.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using various welding equipment with precision.
• Operate drilling machines as part of the manufacturing process.
• Carry out fabrication work linked to pump production and assembly.
• Utilize measuring instruments to ensure components meet specifications.
• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Maintain awareness of and adhere to workshop safety protocols.
• Meet assigned production targets and deadlines reliably.
• Interpret basic engineering drawings when required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational background: ITI or Diploma in Fitter, Welder, Machinist, or similar technical trade preferred.
• Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in welding, drilling, fabrication, pump manufacturing, or allied engineering sectors.
• Freshers with relevant ITI certification may also be eligible.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of welding and basic fabrication techniques.
• Proficiency in operating drilling machinery.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with using measuring instruments accurately.
• Good hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
• Understanding of workshop safety practices.

Compensation and Additional Information

The position offers a monthly salary ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 25,000. This role is based onsite in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
