Role Overview

The Deli Clerk is tasked with performing all duties of the role professionally, accurately, and promptly. You will provide exceptional customer service, build loyalty, satisfy customer needs, and support a positive environment for both staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Food Safety Protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and corporate initiatives.
• Deliver attentive customer service to fulfill customer requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and an organized, attractive work area.
• Process customer deli orders efficiently.
• Execute merchandising programs and manage product presentation.
• Handle and prepare deli items following company guidelines.
• Promote deli products to support store sales growth.
• Assist in training junior employees as needed.
• Order and receive stock adhering to inventory control policies.
• Manage department shrinkage appropriately.
• Ensure the workplace remains safe and clean according to company standards.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
