Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service in line with Walmart's core values and principles. This role involves organizing, maintaining, and stocking the Bakery and/or Deli sections, as well as assisting with merchandise sales.

Key Duties

• Maintain order in the department by organizing shelves, tables, and storage areas, ensuring products are placed correctly.
• Monitor stock rotation and check for any expired merchandise.
• Ensure all goods are properly priced and labeled.
• Comply with cold chain protocols including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling practices, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Process customer orders in the Deli section; prepare hot food items and offer assistance as needed.
• Use utensils to prepare deli food orders; operate rotisserie oven to prepare chicken; prepare side dishes for display.
• Follow bakery product preparation guidelines exactly, including thawing and baking procedures, to maintain quality and appearance of bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Handle ordering, clearance, pricing updates, and labeling according to established procedures.

Additional Information
