We are seeking a skilled Deburr Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton. This position is essential in ensuring that precision-machined aerospace components meet rigorous quality and performance requirements, preparing them for assembly in critical flight applications.
Responsibilities
- Carefully removing burrs, sharp edges, and excess materials from machined aerospace parts to achieve a flawless finish.
- Executing finishing techniques such as polishing, blending, chamfering, and radiusing to meet specified surface and dimensional standards.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and production instructions accurately to guide finishing processes.
- Conducting thorough inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to confirm component conformity.
- Reporting any discrepancies or non-conforming elements promptly to maintain quality.
- Collaborating with Production, Quality, and Engineering departments to support seamless manufacturing operations.
- Preparing parts for subsequent processes including coating, assembly, and shipping.
- Following aerospace industry safety and quality protocols diligently.
- Maintaining deburring tools and equipment in optimal condition and ensuring a safe, tidy workspace.
- Communicating equipment maintenance needs and reporting any wear or damage immediately.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in deburring, metal finishing, polishing, or similar precision manufacturing roles.
- Excellent manual dexterity with strong hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to handle small, intricate, and complex components with accuracy.
- Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, machining, or precision engineering sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO9001, as well as lean manufacturing principles, is desirable.
- Exposure to materials including aluminium, titanium, or composites is a plus.
Shift Pattern and Training
Initial training will occur during day shifts, after which you will transition to a rotating shift schedule covering mornings (6am-2pm) and afternoons (2pm-10pm). This shift system includes an additional allowance.

Security Clearance
