About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts invites applications for the position of Bakery DCDP located in Panaji, Goa. This full-time, non-management role is situated at Aguada Siolim Road, Calangute, Goa.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients by portioning, chopping, and proper storage.
• Manage food thawing from freezer storage by transferring to the refrigerator.
• Use recipes or personal judgment to weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Cook food while following recipes, quality, presentation, and preparation checklists.
• Maintain food quality by tasting, smelling, and checking doneness through utensils.
• Ensure correct portion sizes, plating arrangements, and garnishes when serving food.
• Handle kitchen tools safely and appropriately during food preparation.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, knives, tools, and equipment regularly.
• Monitor the temperature of food and kitchen appliances to ensure compliance with standards.
• Report any product discrepancies and request assistance during peak times.

Workplace and Conduct

• Comply fully with company safety and security policies, reporting maintenance requirements, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
• Complete required safety training and certification.
• Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance and uniform.
• Greet and acknowledge all guests courteously and professionally.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests alike.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve shared objectives and respond constructively to concerns.
• Adhere strictly to quality standards and operational expectations.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and handle items up to 10 pounds independently.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of related bakery or culinary work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• There is no requirement for specific licenses or certifications.
