Role Overview

We are currently looking for meticulous and professional Day Porters to join our Toronto team. This full-time, permanent role involves independently ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall welcoming atmosphere of our site. The Day Porter will uphold high standards in sanitation and follow health and safety guidelines, working within shifts scheduled Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitizing of designated areas including offices, pantries, restrooms, common spaces, and specialized rooms.
• Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors utilizing proper equipment and methods.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with set protocols.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners promptly.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and monitor material inventories.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely and maintain equipment conditions.
• Manage time to ensure timely completion of all assigned duties.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct during working hours.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs as required.

Candidate Profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proficient English communication skills are essential.
• Preferred experience of at least 6 months in cleaning or janitorial roles.
• Ability to stand and walk for long durations in a public environment.
• Safe handling of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Capability to interact professionally with supervisors, clients, and colleagues.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, with professional demeanor.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Successful completion of a clear criminal background check is mandatory.
