Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Databricks Administrator with strong AWS capabilities to join our team in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Databricks environments and a solid understanding of AWS ecosystem services to optimize and secure cloud data operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Databricks environments including UI, settings, and dashboard creation.
- Analyze current infrastructure and recommend architectural improvements for enhanced performance.
- Conduct cost analysis related to Databricks usage to optimize expenditure.
- Implement guardrails to control Databricks features ensuring secure and efficient operations.
Technical Requirements
- Over 8 years of experience in relevant IT and cloud administration roles.
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code management.
- Strong foundational skills in Python programming, SQL queries, and Bash scripting.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, KMS, IAM, DynamoDB, Redshift including troubleshooting capabilities.
- Familiarity with AWS EMR is an asset.
- Understanding of Linux command line operations.
- Hands-on experience in building Databricks Dashboards and Applications.
- Knowledge of Databricks DABS platform is advantageous.
