Job description
Overview and Key Responsibilities
This role requires a seasoned developer with extensive experience in eCommerce and Order Management Systems (OMS). The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing robust microservices-based enterprise applications using Java Springboot, with special emphasis on OMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Manhattan Active Omni, Fluent Ecommerce OMS, or Sterling. Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and modern web technologies is essential.
Technical Expertise
- Minimum of four years in eCommerce or OMS development.
- Over two years of hands-on experience with OMS platforms, including Blue Yonder, Manhattan Active Omni, Fluent Ecommerce OMS, or Sterling OMS.
- Strong skills in building enterprise microservices applications using Java Springboot.
- Proficient in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with AWS expertise preferred.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and reactive microservices programming is beneficial.
- Familiarity with cloud services including API Gateways, Serverless functions, and message broker technologies like Event Bus, Event Bridge, Kafka, or Kinesis.
- Solid knowledge of API technologies such as REST, JSON, GraphQL, and Swagger.
- Experience integrating APIs and third-party services including payment gateways, fraud detection, address validation, and tax services.
- Strong grasp of modern web technologies and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Expertise in caching mechanisms, including Spring/EhCache and Redis.
- Sound understanding of retail domain dynamics.
- Familiar with Agile practices and tools such as JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working within cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of integration layers such as Kafka or Kinesis, including payload transformation and adherence to non-functional requirements via message brokers.
