Job description
Role Overview
This position involves overseeing MySQL and Percona database systems including schema management, performance tuning, backup, and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer MySQL/Percona databases by creating, modifying, deleting, and optimizing database schemas for improved efficiency.
- Develop and enforce backup and restoration plans utilizing Percona XtraBackup and Red Hat Linux environments to maintain data security.
- Craft Bash scripts designed to monitor database replication status (using SHOW SLAVE STATUS command) and dispatch alert emails upon anomalies.
