Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Database Administrator with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (BE/B.Tech in CSE or IT, MCA, M.Sc in Computer Science or IT), and be proficient in managing database servers, including their installation, configuration, and administration.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall database administration and development tasks.
- Install, configure, and administer clustered database servers, including OS and application-level clustering, plus load balancing and virtualization techniques.
- Audit database schemas and diagrams to ensure integrity and security.
- Handle SQL database creation and management.
- Maintain basic knowledge of server hardware, networking devices, and data/network security, including backup and disaster recovery processes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficient in installation and configuration of database servers.
- Working knowledge of hardware, network infrastructure, and data security principles.
- Experience with clustered database environments and virtualization.
- Relevant educational qualifications as specified above.
Additional Information
Immediate joiners are preferred for this position.
