Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead with 8 to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or privacy solution implementation and technical consulting. This role requires a minimum of 4 years managing end-to-end customer implementations. Based in Bangalore, the role involves regular travel to client locations during project execution. You will serve as the primary technical leader responsible for translating consulting assessments into fully operational platforms, overseeing deployment, and leading solution support and escalation throughout the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate consulting outputs, such as gap assessments and data-flow diagrams, into detailed design and implementation plans.
• Conduct workshops with stakeholders including sponsors, DPOs, legal, IT, security, and business units to define processing systems, activities, data principal types, integration channels, and communication strategies.
• Establish and maintain project governance with clear roles, scope control, communication plans, and risk logs.
• Lead platform tenant setup including branding, profile creation, user role assignments adhering to least privilege, and authentication configuration via SAML, OIDC, or OTP.
• Oversee configuration efforts such as processing activities documentation, regulatory notice publications, consent campaigns, privacy center setup, offline consent collection, rights workflows, incident management, and data processor registers.
• Plan and implement Data Discovery integrations including cloud and on-premise scanning in collaboration with DPOs.
• Design and implement system integrations using REST APIs, CSV imports, JDBC database reads, and network agents; manage consent propagation via secure webhooks.
• Coordinate notification setups involving client email and SMS channels, including compliance with Indian DLT regulations.
• Manage infrastructure-related deployment tasks including environment sizing, installation, security (TLS, DNS), firewall configurations, and backup testing for customer-hosted setups.
• Provide comprehensive training sessions for DPOs, administrators, responders, and trainers; facilitate UAT and oversee defect triage and go-live checklists.
• Lead hypercare and transition to managed service while maintaining technical escalation leadership and collaborating with product engineering for bug resolution.
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, assign tasks, review work performance, and promote knowledge sharing on platform capabilities and privacy regulations.
• Continuously update implementation playbooks and estimation tools reflecting on field experience and customer feedback.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, or related technical consulting, with at least 4 years leading full-cycle implementations.
• Practical skills in RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON data formats, OAuth or API key authentication methods, and SQL querying on relational databases.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts including SSO with SAML or OIDC, role-based access control, and least privilege principles.
• Technical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), network security components (TLS, DNS, firewall), and private connectivity.
• Strong facilitation skills for engaging diverse stakeholders including DPOs, legal teams, and developer groups, with ability to craft appropriate documentation.
• Understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and Rules covering notices, consent, rights, breach protocols, children's data, and fiduciary obligations.

Preferred Additional Expertise

• Experience implementing privacy, consent management, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) or identity solutions.
• Data engineering capabilities such as attribute mapping, reconciliation, and bulk data processing.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, or database administration for on-premises deployments.
• Sector experience in BFSI, insurance, healthcare, telecom, or government clients.
• Relevant certifications including IAPP CIPM, CIPT, CIPP, DPDP certification, cloud associate certifications, ITIL 4 Foundation, PMP, or PRINCE2.
• Proficiency in Hindi or Indian regional languages to facilitate workshops and training.
