Job description
Position Overview
NiuPay is looking for Data Specialists in Curation to generate labeled, ranked, and organized datasets that serve as training and validation material for artificial intelligence applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately label and annotate diverse media, including text, images, audio, and video, following detailed written protocols.
- Evaluate and rank AI model outputs, supporting these decisions with concise written justifications.
- Develop reference content and design evaluation queries to support AI system improvements.
- Standardize and reconcile records across multiple data sources to ensure consistency.
- Optionally participate in field collection activities such as photographing and recording cultural and daily-life scenes in Papua New Guinea to produce technical-grade training data.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are precise, possess strong written English skills, and demonstrate sustained concentration and attention to quality standards. Formal education or prior experience in similar roles is not necessary. Professions such as journalism, editing, proofreading, and teaching are well-suited, as are individuals who naturally prioritize accuracy. Those with photography or videography skills will have added advantage.
Applicants should be comfortably computer literate and quick to adopt new software tools, including AI applications, adhering strictly to protocols while identifying gaps when encountered.
Application Process
Applicants must submit a CV accompanied by a cover letter explaining their suitability for the role. Only submissions with cover letters will be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a paid practical assessment. This opportunity is exclusively for Papua New Guinean nationals. The application deadline is Friday, 9 October 2026.
