Role Overview

The Data Science team at Revolut tackles complex challenges through practical, innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the customer experience. The Deep Learning Engineers play a pivotal role by spearheading developments in generative AI and large language model (LLM) integration, creating products ranging from interactive user tools to sophisticated process optimizations.

This role involves collaborating closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Data Analysts, and Operations Managers to develop automated, scalable AI-driven solutions that transform customer interactions for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered functionalities such as personal assistants, chatbots, and copilots starting from concept to deployment.
• Develop both front-end user features and back-end components utilizing deep learning techniques.
• Create and deploy impactful, scalable AI solutions informed by data-driven insights.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to overcome challenges inherent in deep learning projects.
• Incorporate cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies to advance innovation within Revolut.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Strong experience in deep learning applied to natural language processing and working with large language models.
• A bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
• Proficient knowledge of data science tools including Python and SQL, along with experience in production environments.
• Solid grounding in probability theory and statistical methods.
• Ability to think strategically and holistically in diagnosing problems and turning research into production features.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with Product Owners and business leaders.

Preferred Additional Attributes

• Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) in quantitative disciplines.
• Familiarity with other programming languages like Java, Scala, or C++.
• Experience working in large-scale technology companies valued over $15 billion.
• Achievements in academic competitions in physics, mathematics, economics, or programming at school or university level.
