We seek a Principal Solutions Engineer to provide senior-level technical guidance across infrastructure projects in the Asia Pacific, particularly New Zealand. This role sits at the nexus of infrastructure, technology, and problem-solving, assisting project teams and clients in making informed decisions through practical digital solutions.

Role Overview

In this role, you will help revolutionize the design, construction, and operation of infrastructure. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will identify project challenges and craft digital solutions that are dependable, secure, maintainable, and focused on client value. Solutions might include data pipelines, spatial analytics, dashboards, workflow tools, integrations, automation, and pro-code AI applications utilizing Moata and related cloud platforms.

You will balance hands-on technical execution with client interaction and project leadership, guiding teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases. Your efforts will include establishing reusable frameworks, standards, and methodologies that enhance consistency and efficiency across digital deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of digital solutions on client and internal projects.
• Engage with clients and project teams to define requirements, challenges, and solution strategies.
• Convert business needs into detailed technical designs, delivery plans, and execution steps.
• Estimate delivery scope, effort, assumptions, risks, and approaches.
• Develop and configure solutions on the Moata platform using Python, TypeScript, and associated cloud tools.
• Oversee technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, including quality assurance, deployment, and support.
• Assess solution quality, mitigate technical risks, and ensure maintainability, security, and suitability.
• Mentor and support data, analytics, and software development team members.
• Coordinate delivery contributions across regions, disciplines, and project groups.
• Contribute to reusable patterns, standards, and workflows to boost delivery effectiveness and quality.

Candidate Profile

• Proven expertise across end-to-end software delivery processes.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience leading projects or technical delivery teams.
• Skilled in resource allocation and prioritization amidst competing demands.
• Excellent client engagement and stakeholder management capabilities.

Additional desirable experience includes working with TypeScript or JavaScript, user experience design, and handling spatial or time-series data.
