Data Scientist

Overview

Transform data into actionable insights and construct predictive models to generate business value for clients primarily in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Examine extensive datasets to detect patterns, trends, and potential opportunities.
• Design and develop machine learning models for prediction, classification, and detecting anomalies.
• Produce data visualizations and comprehensive reports to effectively convey findings to stakeholders.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deploy machine learning models into production environments.
• Continuously update knowledge base by researching the newest trends and advancements in data science.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Over three years of professional experience in the data science field.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis and model development.
• Advanced proficiency with Python programming and SQL database querying.
• Hands-on experience with time series analysis and forecasting techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with big data ecosystems such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms dedicated to data science workflows.
• Knowledge of deep learning methodologies.
• Understanding and application of explainable AI approaches.
