Job description

Role Overview

Capco is looking for seasoned Data Quality consultants to join a critical initiative aimed at transforming Data Quality processes and ensuring regulatory compliance per BCBS239 standards. The consultant will be responsible for delivering remediation and transformation actions aligning with BCBS239 compliance and spearheading the implementation of Data Quality Management Standard 2.0.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Data Quality Remediation & Transformation Plan (RTP) initiatives to achieve BCBS239 compliance targets.
  • Lead efforts to attain a fully compliant BCBS239 data quality environment.
  • Conduct discovery and assessments on processes exhibiting high data quality risks.
  • Identify existing gaps in RTPs and implement corrective measures.
  • Assist in the application of Data Quality Management Standard 2.0 across relevant processes.
  • Work in collaboration with technology and business units to improve data quality tools such as Rosetta and DQMA.
  • Promote digitisation projects aimed at minimizing manual metadata management and data quality activities.
  • Develop and standardize business terminologies, data definitions, and data quality rules.
  • Deliver actionable insights to strengthen data governance, controls, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 8 to 14 years’ experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Regulatory Data domains.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Data Quality frameworks and lifecycle management.
  • Proven expertise in RTP execution, gap analysis, and process evaluations.
  • Hands-on experience managing metadata and curating business glossaries.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools such as Rosetta, DQMA, or comparable platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and consulting capabilities.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and effective communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior involvement with BCBS239 or equivalent regulatory compliance programs.
  • In-depth Data Quality domain expertise within the Financial Services sector.
  • Exposure to initiatives involving data transformation and digital automation.

Additional Information

Location for this role is Bengaluru (Bangalore) or Chennai, India. This position requires full-time, onsite presence. The employer values driving digital transformation, data governance excellence, and regulatory adherence in Financial Services.
