Data Modeller with Google Cloud Platform Expertise

Overview

This role focuses on developing and maintaining data models using advanced techniques across conceptual, logical, and physical layers. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and architects to design efficient data platforms on Google Cloud Platform's BigQuery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement various stages of data models to meet business requirements.
• Utilize knowledge of database systems, data warehousing strategies, and ETL methodologies.
• Work with contemporary data technologies including NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud-native solutions.
• Create and analyze moderately complex SQL queries to validate data and outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with diverse teams to shape current and future data architectures within GCP BigQuery.
• Establish and uphold best practices specifically for BigQuery data modeling.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance within GCP environments.
• Manage and interpret different data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, and traditional databases.
• Apply strong analytical reasoning to tackle intricate data challenges effectively.
• Communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with data governance principles and implementation frameworks is advantageous.
• Possession of certifications in data architecture, database management, or related areas is preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of industry experience focusing on data modeling techniques and methodologies.
