About Etqan Global Academy and Role Overview

Etqan Global Academy (EGA), situated in Doha, Qatar, is a newly formed IB World School offering both the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are seeking a proficient Data Manager responsible for overseeing student data and related systems that support decision-making for school leaders, teachers, and families.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the school Management Information System (MIS), specifically iSAMS, including its annual setup, managing student records, and administering user access.
• Coordinate the collection of assessment data and generate comprehensive reports for PYP and MYP students.
• Analyze student attainment, academic progress, and attendance records; communicate insights effectively to school leaders and educators.
• Compile precise data submissions for regulatory bodies like the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the International Baccalaureate (IB), and the Nord Anglia Education group.
• Ensure the security and compliance of student and staff data with Qatar's data protection regulations and Nord Anglia Education policies.
• Enhance data procedures and improve integrations between various school systems.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a relevant university degree.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in school data management or MIS roles.
• Practical expertise in administering MIS platforms, with preference for experience in iSAMS.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is advantageous.
• High levels of accuracy, discretion, and sound judgement in handling sensitive data.
• Strong ability to communicate complex data insights in an accessible manner to individuals without specialist knowledge.
• Prior experience in international schools or with IB curriculum is beneficial.
