Role Overview
We are currently seeking a Data Center System Administrator based in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, with specialized expertise in GPU Infrastructure installation and support. This role is essential in assisting customers with monitoring and optimizing the overall health of the cluster, ensuring seamless operation, connectivity, reliability, security, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware and system software issues effectively.
- Manage GPU installation, repair, and replacements.
- Provide support for servers, storage systems, and networking components.
- Administer and monitor Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and SUSE.
- Report issues by opening trouble tickets with various vendors and diligently follow up on resolutions.
- Debug and resolve reported cluster defects while adhering to service level agreements.
- Implement corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure system stability.
- Test software and firmware fixes, upgrades, and security patches prior to deployment.
- Assist in solution design activities and update documentation to accurately reflect system changes.
- Act as the customer’s single point of contact for managing third-party issues, coordinating maintenance windows, and providing timely updates during technical and business review meetings.
- Respond proactively to system alerts to minimize downtime and maximize data availability.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware and system software challenges.
- Proficiency with GPU infrastructure installation and maintenance, including break-fix and replacement procedures.
- Expertise in server, storage, and networking system support.
- Strong Linux system administration skills, with experience on distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, and SUSE.
- Competence in managing vendor relationships through trouble ticketing and progress reporting.
- Ability to develop, test, and implement system changes to address errors.
- Experience performing software and firmware validation activities to support fixes, upgrades, and security patches.
- Capacity to update technical documentation accurately and promptly.
