Responsibilities include translating business questions into actionable analysis and maintaining dashboards that are truly helpful for decision-making. This position suits candidates with strong SQL and analytical capabilities who are eager to develop business insight and product acumen through inquisitive and collaborative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and keep metrics aligned with business logic and demand.
  • Continuously monitor dashboards for anomalies and data accuracy, investigating issues promptly.
  • Solicit and act on user feedback to iteratively improve dashboard functionality.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Experience, and others to frame questions and deliver structured data analysis.
  • Examine user interaction data, feature uptake, conversion rates, retention, and customer journey phases.
  • Manage small to medium analytical projects from problem definition to findings communication.
  • Detect patterns or opportunities in data, advocating for deeper exploration where applicable.
  • Document key metrics, dashboards, data definitions, and data ownership clearly.
  • Identify and update outdated reporting mechanisms through stakeholder collaboration.
  • Adhere to standards regarding data naming, documentation, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Assess data usage impact prior to modifying reports, tables, or pipelines.
  • Report data quality issues to appropriate technical teams effectively.
  • Communicate analytic results clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Continuously gather and incorporate feedback to improve outputs.
  • Maintain transparency about progress, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Collaborate flexibly across teams and multiple time zones (US and Asia).

Candidate Profile

  • 1-3 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical area.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with large dataset handling.
  • Skilled in creating dashboards or reports using tools like Superset, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Solid foundation in analytical reasoning and elementary statistics.
  • Adept at translating business questions into suitable metrics and analyses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable challenging unclear or outdated definitions.
  • Collaborative nature and openness to receiving feedback from various stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with product analytics solutions like Mixpanel.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for in-depth data analysis.
  • Background in experimentation or A/B test result analysis.
  • Experience collaborating with Product or Marketing teams.
  • Interest in video creation, creator tools, or the digital creator economy.

Success Metrics

  • Define clear ownership and user base for key dashboards and recurring reports within the first year.
  • Update or retire reports based on obsolete business logic.
  • Provide consistent analytical support for Product and Marketing teams.
  • Deliver impactful analyses that drive product and business decisions.
  • Enhance documentation and transparency for key metrics and data sources.
  • Establish robust feedback loops between Data and user teams.
