Job description
Role Overview
Amazon values data-driven decision-making and precise metrics. The Data Analyst position in the ICQA/LND Analytics team is key to creating comprehensive reports from diverse data sources to uncover root causes of quality issues and inventory adjustments. This role collaborates with ICQA, Learning, and Finance teams to deliver critical data analyses and insights to support business operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and refine data collection methods and management systems.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, aggregate data, and generate accurate reports.
- Visualize data through charts and graphs to enhance report clarity.
- Develop interactive dashboards using Amazon Quicksight to aid business decisions and deep-dive investigations.
- Automate analytical processes using Python to increase efficiency.
- Prepare and distribute reports for regular business reviews, including weekly and quarterly updates and project status.
- Assist leadership in interpreting data trends and insights.
- Conduct thorough investigations into defect trend patterns.
- Perform data collection and entry tasks as required.
- Present data analyses clearly within standardized reporting formats.
- Provide data support for ICQA and Learning team projects.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable strong analytical capabilities with close attention to detail and proficient communication skills.
- Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly with leadership, stakeholders, and across teams.
- Experience in managing and executing significant projects from concept to completion including gathering data, problem-solving, and delivering actionable recommendations.
- Skill in understanding business and customer needs to translate them into effective analytical solutions.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and managing IAM roles and permissions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in training and deploying machine learning solutions for large-scale optimizations or experience providing development or technical support in similar contexts.
