Data Analyst - ICQA/LND Analytics Team (UAE National)

About the Role

Amazon values data and metrics deeply, relying heavily on data analysts to generate insightful reports by aggregating data from various sources. The Data Analyst position in the ICQA (Inventory Control and Quality Assurance)/LND Analytics team focuses on providing critical analysis regarding quality issues and inventory adjustments. This role involves close collaboration with ICQA, Learning, and Finance departments to furnish valuable data support and analytical insights to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop effective data collection methodologies and manage data systems.
• Create and write SQL queries to collect and compile data, producing comprehensive reports.
• Visualize data through charts and graphs to enhance reporting clarity.
• Build dashboards using Amazon Quicksight to facilitate decision-making and deep-dive analyses.
• Automate analytic processes leveraging Python programming.
• Prepare and disseminate reports for business reviews such as weekly, quarterly, and project update meetings.
• Assist leadership teams in understanding and interpreting emerging data trends.
• Conduct detailed investigations into defect patterns and trends.
• Perform data entry and collection tasks as necessary.
• Present analysis in clear, standardized formats for ease of understanding.
• Provide analytical support for ICQA and Learning team initiatives and projects.

Required Qualifications

• Proven analytical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in effectively conveying information to leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing complex projects end-to-end including data gathering, modeling, problem-solving, and recommendation communication.
• Ability to discern business and customer requirements and translate them into appropriate analytical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and managing IAM roles and permissions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in training and deploying machine learning models targeting large-scale optimization problems or relevant experience in technical development or support roles.
