Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Overview

We are searching for a Cybersecurity Consultant skilled in analytical thinking, technical expertise, and communication to bolster cybersecurity efforts across multiple sectors such as risk management, security architecture, data protection, and resilience. This position suits a versatile individual capable of navigating dynamic environments and effectively connecting technical teams, business units, and security governance bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist in risk assessments involving IT systems, cloud platforms, applications, and third-party services.
• Maintain the cybersecurity risk register and aid in developing strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance security.
• Support the design and evaluation of secure on-premises and cloud-based architectures.
• Provide guidance on security controls including identity and access management, network segmentation, and secure system design.
• Assist with implementing and evaluating data protection protocols such as classification, encryption, data lifecycle management, and ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to validate and improve recovery processes.
• Collaborate with security operations and incident response teams to integrate incident scenarios into crisis management workflows and resilience strategies.
• Support governance, risk management, and compliance activities by aligning cybersecurity practices with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, QSF, and NIA.
• Assist in audit preparations, control assessments, and gathering evidence to ensure compliance.
• Evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with third-party vendors and partners, supporting due diligence and remediation tracking.
• Contribute to continual improvement initiatives for cybersecurity risk and resilience practices by integrating insights from lessons learned, regulatory changes, and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
• Between two to three years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or audit roles.
• Proficiency in English required for effective communication.
• Relevant certifications including ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 22301 are expected.
