About the Role
Based in Auckland, this full-time permanent position offers an opportunity to support and expand QBE's Cyber insurance portfolio. Joining the team means engaging actively with brokers to enhance awareness, understanding, and uptake of the Cyber product through education and strategic market activities. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, promoting flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in expanding the Cyber portfolio by delivering underwriting support and engaging in business development efforts.
- Manage new business submissions and renewals, including quoting, binding, and negotiating within delegated authority limits.
- Oversee daily underwriting and portfolio administration tasks to maintain accuracy, smooth processes, and timely service delivery.
- Develop and improve operational processes and documentation to support portfolio growth and structure.
- Conduct clear and accessible presentations to brokers, educating them on product specifics, appetite, and underwriting approaches.
- Participate actively in broker events, roadshows, and market-facing initiatives to strengthen product visibility and relationships.
- Collaborate with local and global underwriting, claims, and partner teams to share insights and contribute to ongoing portfolio development.
Candidate Profile
- Experience or exposure to Cyber insurance, ideally combined with underwriting, broking, business development, or related insurance roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of building and maintaining productive relationships with brokers and internal teams.
- Effective communicator comfortable with presentations and delivering clear, inclusive educational sessions.
- Curious and proactive mindset open to participating in industry events and initiatives to support growth.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage priorities, follow through on activities, and contribute positively to portfolio profitability.
