Role Overview
The Vulnerability Threat Management Triage Analyst serves an essential function within cybersecurity by swiftly analyzing and prioritizing new vulnerabilities identified within the system.
Qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have over five years of experience in Information Security, with a particular emphasis on vulnerability management and threat analysis.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline is required, or applicants should possess comparable equivalent experience.
Technical Expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of Information Security principles, especially relating to vulnerability management, patch creation, and understanding of application and system architectures.
- Strong skills in SQL for querying databases and conducting data analyses.
Analytical Skills
Proven capability to perform research and critical assessment efficiently, even when operating under pressure.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages, preferably Python.
- Experience or awareness of common vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys or Snyk.
- Understanding of basic statistical methods useful for metrics and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
