Cyber Security Architect

Role Overview

Join C4i Solutions as a Cyber Security Architect, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership within sophisticated Defence and mission-critical settings. You'll be tasked with designing and evaluating secure infrastructures, translating operational and security needs into actionable architecture, and advising on risk, assurance, accreditation, and system deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, development, and assessment of secure, resilient, and scalable cyber security frameworks in Defence-related environments.
• Convert operational, business, and security requirements into actionable architecture and control solutions employing secure-by-design, defence-in-depth, and risk-informed methodologies.
• Evaluate security threats, risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging technology to determine mitigation strategies.
• Implement Australian Government security mandates such as ISM and PSPF across architecture and assurance activities.
• Maintain and develop security architecture documentation, risk assessments, control mappings, and assurance materials supporting accreditation, authorization, IRAP, and remediation initiatives.
• Provide expert security leadership to engineering and project delivery teams, establishing architecture standards, patterns, and reusable design principles.
• Analyze technology changes, integrations, and third-party products for security impact and compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with Defence customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, articulate risks, and deliver robust security solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, risk assessments, and continuous security assurance to enhance C4i's cyber security architectural capabilities.

Candidate Profile

• Must be an Australian citizen eligible for Defence projects with at least AGSVA NV1 clearance, with capability to upgrade to NV2.
• Possess a tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hold relevant industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor; SANS 401 certification considered a strong advantage.
• Bring a minimum of five years experience working in a Defence classified ICT context.
• Be prepared to occasionally participate in an on-call roster.
• Exemplify strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills along with ability to operate in high-pressure, secure ICT environments.
