Job description

About C4i Solutions

C4i Solutions is an Australian veteran-owned enterprise specializing in ICT, Cyber, and Digital solutions for Defence, Government, Space, Emergency Services, and Critical Infrastructure sectors. We pride ourselves on providing sovereign, cost-effective, customer-focused mission-critical capabilities, supported by a security-cleared, agile, and highly qualified workforce deployable across Australia. Our trusted services enhance capability, resilience, and protection for Defence and government missions.

Role Overview

As a Cyber Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) professional, you will support secure and compliant deliveries in Defence and government projects. You will showcase expertise in ICT Assessment and Authorisation (A&A), risk management, and security assurance, leveraging frameworks like ISM, PSPF, DSPF, and NIST. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to provide risk-informed cybersecurity guidance, aid accreditation processes, and ensure operational demands align with regulatory requirements. Your role also involves creating security documentation, performing risk assessments, and fostering governance practices that enhance cyber maturity and system resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cyber security governance and compliance frameworks, including ISM, PSPF, DSPF, and Essential Eight (E8), integrated within the Defence CyberWorthiness System (DCwS).
  • Lead Cyber Security Assessment and Authorisation Framework (CSAAF) procedures to secure Authority to Operate (ATO) for Defence systems.
  • Engage effectively with Defence stakeholders and decision-makers to facilitate ATO workflows and successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain critical security documentation such as SAP, BIL and E8 assessments, SSP, SSP-A, SRMP, IRP, CMP, SCCG, and POA&M aligned with CSAAF requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvements in cyber security governance, policy formation, and best practice applications.
  • Conduct risk management activities including identification, mitigation, and reporting within Defence information environments.
  • Operate within Defence networks and system security environments, contributing to the Single Information Environment, system acceptance into service, and their transition to sustainment.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience working in classified Defence or Government projects, preferably LAND or Army-related.
  • Australian citizenship with current or inactive AGSVA clearance (minimum NV1 clearance preferred).
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are highly valued.
  • Formal training or certifications in cybersecurity frameworks and standards applicable to Defence settings are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of OT and ICT network integration and associated security challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure in varied environments.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork aptitude, comfortable collaborating with both military and civilian personnel.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Veteran status is highly regarded; ex-ADF personnel are especially encouraged to apply.
