About the Role

Our client, a prominent regional logistics and supply chain company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a skilled Customs Clearance Officer to join their team. This role involves managing accurate and timely customs clearance for import and export shipments in strict accordance with Saudi Customs regulations, company protocols, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and submit customs declarations using the Bayan Customs Clearance System.
• Ensure customs documentation is thorough, accurate, and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Liaise with Saudi Customs authorities to facilitate clearance, inspections, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Track shipment progress to guarantee prompt cargo release.
• Coordinate activities among freight forwarding, transportation, warehouse, and internal operations teams.
• Address and resolve any customs-related discrepancies, documentation errors, and shipment delays efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with Saudi Customs laws, internal procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
• Keep detailed records of customs declarations and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with various internal departments to procure required shipment data.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Customs Clearance, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
• 3 to 5 years’ practical experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Proven expertise with Saudi customs clearance protocols and hands-on use of the Bayan Customs Clearance System.
• Experience liaising with customs authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Comprehensive understanding of import/export documentation and trade compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Customs regulations and clearance processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
