About the Role and Employer
The City of Rockingham, a distinguished local government located 40km south of Perth CBD and renowned for its vibrant coastal community, is seeking a personable and energetic Customer Service Officer. This is a permanent full-time position requiring 38 hours per week, where the successful candidate will offer professional customer support both over the phone and in person. Key Responsibilities
As the initial contact point in the telephone contact centre, you will address a wide variety of customer inquiries, providing accurate advice and tailored solutions through attentive listening and understanding. You will also manage cashiering duties efficiently, handling payments submitted over the counter, online, and via mail.
Selection Criteria and Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed during high-pressure situations.
- Previous experience in customer service, whether in a contact centre or direct face-to-face interaction, is preferred.
- Comfortable with technology, possessing basic computer skills, and an eagerness to adopt new systems.
Compensation and Benefits
- An annual salary of $77,854, complemented by a 12% superannuation contribution with an option to add a further 5% via co-contribution.
