Overview
The Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Officer position is based in Dundalk HQ, Ireland, with options for remote work in the UK or Gibraltar on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Senior CDD Officer, the role is integral to maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring responsible gaming practices within the company.
Role Responsibilities
- Execute all necessary processes to comply with customer due diligence requirements for both digital and retail clients.
- Conduct customer profiling, including due diligence, enhanced due diligence, risk assessments, and risk profiling.
- Incorporate safer gambling principles into daily operations within the CDD team.
- Continuously monitor customer accounts to encourage responsible gaming and regulatory adherence, including direct communication with customers as needed.
- Evaluate customers' spending relative to income and supportive documents to assess affordability.
- Maintain and review logs and reports to ensure thorough and meaningful documentation for future reference.
- Update due diligence records accurately, documenting findings and ensuring accounts are comprehensively noted.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships across internal teams, preparing reports as required.
- Provide support in delivering educational training sessions for staff related to due diligence and safer gambling.
- Act as the primary contact for staff and external authorities concerning due diligence matters, including investigation and decision-making on appropriate actions.
- Assist with various compliance inquiries related to Customer Due Diligence, AML, and Safer Gambling.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and compile routine reports.
- Collaborate closely with Senior CDD Officers to achieve objectives, share best practices, and implement process improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated interest and skill in due diligence, safer gambling, risk evaluation, and customer interaction.
- Prior experience in the betting or gaming industry is essential.
- Proficient in identifying and evaluating various risk types and escalating issues clearly and promptly.
- Ability to manage a complex workload, prioritizing and resolving queries accurately and efficiently.
- Thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with the capacity to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and precise accuracy in work.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to change, with resilience to challenges.

- Experience in Due Diligence or Safer Gambling roles and familiarity with Gambling Commission regulations are advantageous.

Working Pattern
This role operates across a 7-day workweek, with an expectation to work approximately one weekend out of every four.
