Customer Delivery Driver - King's Lynn

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco in King's Lynn, you will serve as the representative of our brand on the road, delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. This role encompasses much more than just driving; it involves assisting customers and providing exceptional service with a friendly and positive attitude. The position is physically active, hands-on, and varied, with each shift offering new experiences. While you will spend much of your time working independently, support from a team of managers and colleagues at the base is always available when needed.

Working Hours

• Sunday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work environment to ensure customers receive their orders in perfect condition.
• Load the delivery van securely and perform all necessary safety checks to guarantee it is roadworthy and reliable for delivering excellent service.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers regarding any changes to their orders, including substitutions or short-dated items, offering refunds when appropriate to ensure a smooth experience.
• Handle all products with utmost care, treating every order as if it were your own to uphold quality and trust.
• Deliver orders within scheduled time slots, providing warm and genuine service at customers’ doorsteps to leave them feeling valued and well cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Exhibit warmth and friendliness towards both customers and team members.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace any changes encountered during the delivery process and time spent in the store.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for a minimum of 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
