- Load the delivery van safely and perform all necessary checks to confirm the vehicle is roadworthy, dependable, and ready to provide excellent service.
- Communicate clearly and kindly with customers regarding any changes to their orders, substitutions, or short-dated items, offering refunds if appropriate to maintain a smooth and positive customer experience.
- Handle all products with care, treating each order as personal to uphold quality and customer confidence.
- Deliver orders punctually within the customer's allocated time slot, offering warm and natural interaction at the doorstep to ensure customers feel valued and well cared for.
Candidate Requirements
- Develop strong relationships with co-workers to foster a positive team environment and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Display warmth and friendliness toward customers and team members alike.
- React promptly to evolving customer requirements and embrace changes encountered on the road or at the store.
- Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (manual or automatic) with at least 12 months’ experience and no more than three penalty points.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay is £14.18 per hour (rising to £15.45 per hour for stores inside the M25), with additional location-based payments potentially available.
- Guaranteed minimum of 16 working hours per week, with options available for 12-hour roles.
- Holiday entitlement begins at 20 days plus one personal day, increasing to 22 days after 12 months, in addition to Bank Holidays.
- Flexible working hours available from the outset.
- 10% discount using the Colleague Clubcard, increasing to 15% on pay-day weekends, plus a second card to share with family members.
- Access to free wellbeing services supporting mental, physical, and overall health.
- Life insurance coverage worth five times your salary, plus a competitive pension scheme featuring matched contributions up to 7.5%.
- A variety of other benefits including discounts, share options, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
