About the Role
As a Customer Delivery Driver based in Hereford, you will be the face of Tesco, providing exceptional service by delivering customers' orders with a friendly approach. This role involves much more than just driving; it requires physical activity, variety, and independence during your shifts, supported by a dedicated team when needed.
Working Hours
- Sunday: 11:00 to 16:00
- Monday: 19:00 to 23:00
- Tuesday: 19:00 to 23:00
- Wednesday: 09:00 to 12:30
- Thursday: 09:00 to 19:00
- Friday: 09:00 to 19:00
- Saturday: 09:00 to 19:00
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure every customer's order is delivered in pristine condition.
- Load the van securely and carry out all necessary safety checks to guarantee it is roadworthy and ready for deliveries.
- Communicate clearly and kindly with customers regarding any changes, substitutions, or short-dated items, providing refunds as needed to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Handle products carefully, treating every order with attention and respect to maintain quality and customer confidence.
- Make deliveries within the customer's allotted time slot, providing warm and personable service at the doorstep to make customers feel valued.
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to foster strong teamwork and good relationships with colleagues to enhance overall service delivery.
- Friendly and welcoming attitude toward customers and coworkers alike.
- Adaptability to respond swiftly to changing customer needs and embrace changes encountered both on the road and at the store.
- Possession of a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points; licences for either full or automatic vehicles are acceptable.
