Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of your delivery van, trays, and work environment to ensure customers receive their shopping intact.
- Safely load the van and perform routine vehicle inspections to guarantee reliability and safety during deliveries.
- Communicate with customers regarding any order modifications, substitutions, or short-dated products in a polite and clear manner, providing refunds when necessary to ensure a smooth experience.
- Handle all products carefully as if they were your own to preserve quality and uphold customer trust.
- Deliver orders punctually within allotted time slots while providing courteous and personable service at the customer’s doorstep.
Requirements
- Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) with at least one year’s driving experience and no more than three penalty points.
- Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships with team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance customer service.
- Exhibit a warm and approachable manner when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and be flexible in dynamic work situations on the road and at the store.
Benefits and Perks
- Starting holiday allowance of 20 days plus one personal day, increasing to 22 days after a year, includes Bank Holidays.
- Flexible working options available immediately.
- Employee discount of 10% with an additional 15% discount on pay-day weekends; includes a second card for family use.
- Access to complimentary wellbeing services to support mental, physical, and personal wellbeing.
- Life insurance coverage worth five times your salary and participation in an award-winning pension plan with up to 7.5% employer contributions.
- Varied additional benefits including discounts, share schemes, and cycle-to-work programs.
